Terms of Use
Effective date: October 14, 2026
These terms cover Verbal Experiment (Verbex), the website at verbalexperiment.com, and Verbex Lab Tools: the calculators, template builders, guides and templates on the website, the tool API (/api/tools) and the MCP server (/mcp) that AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude can call. Verbal Experiment and Verbex are products of Multimod Labs LLC ("we"). By using them you agree to these terms.
Free to use
Lab Tools, the guides and the templates are free and need no account. Please use them fairly: do not try to disrupt the service, overload it with automated traffic beyond normal use by people and their assistants, or present it as your own service.
Calculation and documentation aids, not professional advice
The tools are deterministic calculators and document builders. They return what follows from the values you give them, and they check their own arithmetic, but they cannot know whether those values are right for your experiment. Results, templates and guides are aids, not scientific, safety, medical or regulatory advice. Check every number before you act on it, complete safety fields from the current SDS and your institution's requirements, and follow your lab's own procedures.
Content and licences
- Templates: the Lab Documentation Pack templates are licensed under CC BY 4.0. Use, share and adapt them for any purpose, crediting Verbex (verbalexperiment.com).
- Tool outputs: what a tool returns for your inputs is yours to use as you like.
- Guides: the guides are © Multimod Labs. You and your AI assistant may read, quote and summarise them with a link to the source page. How they are written: How we write.
- The names Verbex and Verbal Experiment and the Verbex logo belong to Multimod Labs and are not licensed for other uses.
The Verbex app
The Verbex iPhone and iPad app is distributed through the App Store. Purchases and subscriptions in the app are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.
Privacy
Tool inputs are used only to compute the response and are not stored. See the Privacy Policy.
No warranty
The website and Lab Tools are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, and may change or be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, Multimod Labs is not liable for losses arising from their use, including lost experiments, materials or data.
